Dawn: I had a great weekend. It was fabulous to meet you. And I was so grateful to all the Austinites for making everything so easy for us out-of-towners. Not having to drive, etc. was just wonderful!

mss: YES. That's what it is. I couldn't figure it out. In wet weather or high humidity 'Blush Noisette' does ball. I was sort of assuming it was just rubbing against something wet, but you're right. It's just the weather. In that case, it's not going to be happy in our neck of the woods. That's very strange because the Noisettes were invented in Charleston, which is just as soggy as we are.

That is a lovely photo of the dew on your rose. And your poppies are beautiful! I'm determined to add poppies to my garden after seeing so many this weekend.

Speaking of this weekend: It was such a pleasure to meet you at the Spring Fling yesterday. How lucky I was that you rode in my car so I could get a chance to visit with you. I hope you had a pleasant experience in Austin.

With Regards,
Dawn

My 'Blush Noisette' is just opening now too. I find that with high humidity the blossoms tend to ball (not open and turn brown). Do you have that problem?
